The compliment sandwich is a horrendous management technique used to criticize someone without making them feel bad.

Here’s how it works…

Layer one…

give somebody a compliment.

Then you hit them with the criticism. This is the middle of the sandwich.

Follow up your criticism with another compliment adding the bottom to complete the sandwich.

Here’s an example…

Compliment: Bob, you’re so talented and smart. You do an awesome job. You might be the smartest person in the department.

Criticism: Your behavior the past couple weeks has been bad. Your colleagues are starting to get irritated because you’re sarcastic, and bitter.

Compliment: But you’re just so bright. I just want everybody to appreciate how big that brain of yours really is.

Dream of what life will be like when you get the body you deserve.

Are you running around with your grandkids?

Are you slipping into clothes you haven’t worn since high school?

Do you feel confident looking at your reflection in the mirror?

Dream big.
